For another burglary in the house of William Wilkinson at Steatham in Surrey.

Mr Wilkinson who is a gentleman of fortune, residing at Streatham, proved that on the 7th November last , he was alarmed in the middle of the night by the barking of his dog, he got up and went downstairs, when he found the house had been broken open, through a back parlour window, as a part of the shutter was laying upon the lawn; they had also broken open a bureau, in which there were several gold coins, and a cupboard, containing the plate. Among the plate were two silver cups, and a silver watch, gilt. He supposed they had escaped at the noise he made in getting downstairs.

The jury found the prisoners both Guilty, when the learned Judge immediatly passed sentence of death upon them, and told them they must expect no mercy, but prepare to meet their awful fate.
